    1. Laridian Pocketbible For Pocket Pc

We're Not Done Yet! You took us past our initial goal of $28,500 on July 10. We challenged you to pledge another $5000 in the remaining five days, and you surpassed that three days later. We're out of challenges for you, but not out of reasons why you should think about supporting this project in its final hours.

Among the rewards available for this project are some real values that you won't find after Monday when the project ends. Among them are these:. The Exclusive Kickstarter Edition PocketBible Library at the $500 level is something we put together just for this project.

It will contain all the books in the $300 Platinum Edition Library plus another $600-$650 worth of add-on books. You won't be able to get this collection of books for this price after the project ends. Even if you're not a Mac user, you'll be able to use these books on your PC or mobile device. There are a number of add-on rewards like Barnes' Notes on the Bible in the $9-$35 range being offered at 30% or more off their normal retail price. We don't normally offer discounts this deep.

Again, you don't have to be a Mac user to benefit from these books. The $35 BookBuilder for Mac OS is also being offered at a price well below what we expect to offer it for in the future.

Now is the time to lock in that price before the project ends. You can either select it as your reward or add it to an existing reward by just pledging an additional $35 over your chosen reward.

(See below for information on add-on rewards.) These great values are worth sharing in the final hours of the project. You can send your Facebook and Twitter friends this shortcut link to the project:. We set a stretch goal of $33,500 to add BookBuilder Pro for Mac to the project. You reached that goal, so we added BookBuilder Pro for Mac as a reward at the $35 level (or add it to your current reward by adding $35 to your pledge).

See the Project Updates and the Rewards section below for the details. We've added some new rewards that will interest Mac and non-Mac users alike. We're offering six add-on books for pledges in the $9-$35 range as an encouragement to non-Mac users to help fund the Mac project! You can choose these as add-on rewards when the Kickstarter campaign is complete. Again, see the Project Updates and the Rewards section below for details. What We're Doing Laridian publishes Bible study software for mobile devices.

A few years back we ventured onto the desktop with PocketBible for Windows. We've always wanted to do a Mac OS version of PocketBible, but it concerns us that the relative market share of Mac OS vs. Windows meant that there'd be no way to recover our development costs. This Kickstarter campaign has a couple of purposes. First, it will demonstrate to us that there is, in fact, a market for PocketBible for Mac.

Mac users have told us that most of the Windows PCs out there are being used for business and that Mac users are more likely to buy our software. This is your chance to demonstrate that theory in a viable, productive way. Second, the funds garnered from Kickstarter will allow us to dedicate people, time, and other resources to this project. Instead of trying to squeeze it in between our other tasks, we'll be able to focus on it knowing that more of our costs are covered. Needless to say, the actual cost of developing a software product as complex as PocketBible is multiple times the goal of this Kickstarter campaign.

But if you help us reach our Kickstarter goal - and especially if you exceed the goal - we'll be kicking in our own funds to make sure the project gets completed. We're no strangers to Mac OS. We're already using it for iOS and Android development. We're just as excited about this project as you are. Over the years we've evolved to where much of our software development is done on Macs.

Personally, I (Craig Rairdin, President) carry a MacBook, iPad, and iPhone with me wherever I go. In the office I sit in front of a dual-monitor Mac Pro all day.

I would love to be able to port PocketBible to the Mac. It certainly would make my Bible study easier. How We're Going to Do It If you help us fully fund this Kickstarter project, I'll shift my priorities so that I'm working on PocketBible for Mac OS X at least 80% of the time. And if you throw in nights and weekends, that could end up equalling more than 100% of my normal work week. PocketBible for iOS contains a lot of code we can use on PocketBible for Mac OS We have a bit of a headstart. PocketBible for iOS required that we port the core of PocketBible (the part that reads Laridian Book (LBK) files, searching, annotating, etc.) so that it could be built using the XCode development environment that is used for iOS and Mac. In addition, we've had to learn Objective-C, which is the programming language used on iOS and Mac.

Objective-C is the language we'll use to create the user interface and all the other Mac-specific parts of the program. Early in our iOS development project I spent a week at learning Objective-C and 'Cocoa' - the programming framework that makes Mac OS programs look and act like Mac OS programs. During breaks, I pulled out my flash drive containing all our PocketBible code and worked on making the changes necessary for the 'core' portions of that code to build for the Mac. By the end of the week I was seeing Bible text on the screen.

There were no features, of course, but the point is that much of the 80% of the work that takes 20% of the time has been done. (That doesn't mean the project will take only five weeks, just in case you're already doing the math. It's a metaphor.) Rewards We've structured the rewards around our 4 'PocketBible Library' collections of PocketBible Bibles and reference books (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum).

We update the list of books included in each of these collections every year, so the exact contents of the 2014 editions won't be determined until later this year. The number of books in each collection as described in each reward is based on the 2013 edition. We know there will be at least that many books in the 2014 editions. In addition to the four standard PocketBible Library collections, we're going to create an Exclusive Kickstarter Collection for our top contributors. You won't be able to buy this collection at our site - it is exclusive to our very best Kickstarter friends.

Most rewards also include the 'Advanced Feature Set' that we'll be developing for PocketBible for Mac OS. The way we have been selling our apps lately is to give away the basic program but offer a number of additional features for a nominal price.

We won't know exactly which features will go into this set until later in the project, but it won't matter to you - if you choose any of our rewards you'll get the Advanced Feature Set for free. Non-Mac users should note there are rewards in the $9-$35 range that consist of books that are compatible with our other PocketBible platforms. You can help your Mac-using brothers and sisters out by choosing one of those rewards! It is cheaper to pledge to the project and choose one of the rewards now than to wait until PocketBible for Mac OS is completed and buy the Advanced Feature Set and one of the PocketBible Library collections then - yet another reason to contribute to this Kickstarter project!

How Do Add-On Rewards Work? There are seven rewards that can be added on to an existing reward after the Kickstarter project is complete. To add one of these rewards, simply add the reward amount to your pledge. So if you're at the $25 level (Advanced Feature Set) and want to add Barnes' Notes on the Bible, modify your pledge to $60. If you're at $100 now and have selected the Silver Edition Library, add $35 to add BookBuilder Pro to your reward package. When the Kickstarter project is complete, Kickstarter collects all the funds and provides us with a final backer list. We'll contact you at that time and ask you how you want to allocate any additional pledge amount above the value of your reward.

You'll be able to choose your add-on reward at that time. Add-on rewards are:. BookBuilder Pro for Mac: $35 ($49.99 value, ). Barne's Notes on the Bible: $35 ($49.99 value, ). John Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible: $20 ($29.99 value, ). John Wesley's Notes on the Bible: $17 ($24.99 value - not released yet so no link to our website - will be delivered as soon as it is complete).

Darby's Synopsis of the Books of the Bible: $10 ($14.99 value, ). Laridian Book of Classic Hymns: $9 ($12.99 value, ).

Laridian English Dictionary: $9 ($12.99 value, ) How do Laridian's Publishing Partners Benefit? Of course, if you're a user of PocketBible and the Mac is your primary desktop platform, the benefits of this project are obvious. If you're a publishing partner (a publisher from whom we license Bibles or reference books to publish in PocketBible format) you stand to benefit as well. The more platforms, the more users, and the more opportunities to sell books! PocketBible for Mac OS will give us another platform on which to sell your books. And the excitement around the project will give book sales a boost as people install PocketBible and populate their library with more Bibles and reference books.

We've structured our Kickstarter rewards to give our publishing partners the opportunity to participate. These rewards center on being able to reach new PocketBible for Mac OS users through an enhanced presence on our PocketBible bookstore website and to create new PocketBible titles to coincide with the PocketBible for Mac OS launch.

Risks and challenges Every software project presents challenges that can't be predicted in advance. Laridian is a small company with only a few employees, so if something happens on one of our other supported platforms that requires attention from developers or other staff members who have been working on PocketBible for Mac, we may have to put the project on hold so we can address those issues. The point of this Kickstarter project, though, is for you to make it very clear to us that developing for the Mac is worth our effort. We'll make every effort to minimize the time spent away from the Mac project until it is completed.

What we feel confident of, however, is our ability to reach our goal assuming no external problems occur. That is, we believe we have the skills, tools, people, and expertise to complete the project. The only thing that would keep us from reaching that goal would be unforeseen demands from our other supported platforms. Regardless of the problems we encounter along the way, we'll be keeping you up-to-date with regular progress reports so you won't be left wondering what ever happened to PocketBible for the Mac. Exclusive Kickstarter Edition PocketBible Library - As an elite supporter of PocketBible for Mac OS X, you will receive the PocketBible program, all the Bibles and books from the 2014 Platinum Edition PocketBible Library, and an exclusive collection of additional titles. Of course you'll also receive the Advanced Feature Set at no charge.

This particular collection of books is not available as a discounted collection on our site, so the retail value of this reward is significantly more than $500 - somewhere in the neighborhood of $900-$950 would be about right.

Note: We’ll decline all APKs with ‘debug’ certificate, which are not safe. Trusted Badge Official records from APKPure and Google Play confirm that the developer used a trusted and verified digital signature.

The downloadable file is original and it has not been modified in any way. Why using SHA1 to check the identification of certificate is safe? That’s a cryptography problem. Please refer to the following authoritative information to check the reason. How do we make sure the updated Apps are real and created by the respective developers? All appforpc1.com apps are verified prior to publishing.

We make sure that the cryptographic signatures for new versions of all previously published apps match the original ones, which means we know if the new version APKs were signed by the real devs or someone pretending to be them. For new apps that have never been published on appforpc1.com, we try to match the signatures to other existing apps by the same developer. If there’s a match, it means that the same key was used to sign a previously known legitimate app, therefore validating the new upload. If we’re unable to verify the legitimacy of a new APK, we will simply not publish it on appforpc1.com. To see the full description of PocketBible Bible Study, please.
